Hiya people. I'm gonna stop you now before you go any firther if you DO have better things to do. But if you don't, please go on. (:

What would you do if you went to your local takeaway store and saw the chicken that was destined for your fried drumsticks, caged outside and flapping around with one leg chopped off? Sympathetic. Every single day around the world, animals are being kept, caged and killed for all sorts of nasty reasons:
- experiment and "research" entertainment
- food and HORIBBLE fashion
Now that's just cruel. ( maybe not the food part, but its only for chicken)

In Cambodia, for instance, bear paw soup is considered a delicacy among tourists. Without being given any kind of anaesthetic, the bear's paw is CUT OFF, then the bear is just left to die. :( Cages of bears are there at the back of the restaurants and people could just go in and order bear paw soup. Seriously, its disgusting!

Bear bile is also a popular "medicine" in many cultures, wrongly believed to cure anything from the flu to AIDS. Across China, there are up to 7000 endangered Asiatic black bears caged in bile farms and "milked". The wound is left completely open while the bile is slowly darined. It's reallllllyy painful, the bears are kept in tiny cages and they can't even move. Once the bile turns brown, it's no good anymore and the bear is left to die!

In India, "dancing" bears are used to entertain tourists. Their paws are BURNT and the keeper uses a stick called a waddy to bang the cub's legs. The bear jumps up and down in pain until, slowly, everytime the bear sees the stick it jumps automatically. This is excruciating for the animal, and the more people who pay to see it, the more animals will suffer!

Polar bears are being killed in America now for fur and population control. In canada, about 25000 American black bears are killed every year, and this is just for trophy hunting.

Bears don't breed often, so sooner or later there won't be any left.

Tragedy. T___T
